On 8 March 2023 a section (flight of 2) of US Marine Corps F-35Bs
from NAS Yuma VMFA 211 made multiple low passes at Sedona Airport.
It was a routine training mission and neither aircraft touched down.
Note photos below illustrating the distinctive Short Takeoff and Vertical Landing (STOVL) characteristics of the Marine Version of this aircraft.
